HAVE YOU EVER FELT LIKE JUST  THROWING UP YOUR HANDS AND SAYING

“Forget It”?

Feeling helpless after all the work you have done on your credit report or even going as far as to hire a credit repair “dispute” company, and you still have not received the results you expected or was promised. Most of the time ending up with lower scores than before you started the repair process?

As you will read on most of the credit repair websites, you are paying them to send out dispute letters on everything negative on your credit report. Every 45 days, they send out the same letters to the three national credit bureaus.  Their sale’s pitch to you; “The credit bureaus have only 30 days to verify the negative items and if they are  not verified within  30 days, by law the bureaus   have to remove the item..”  This is true, however anytime after the 30 days, if the negative item is verified, it will be put back on your credit report. Then it turns into a viscous circle of taking off and putting back on. This dispute trick  worked years ago, before the bureaus and the creditors were not fully staffed to handle all the requests for verifications. Now, they have caught on, and if you are paying a company to do your disputes or are disputing items yourself, STOP!  This could be the reason your scores are not going up to their full potential.

Not every item on your credit report is being picked up by the scoring models. When we look at our credit report and see negative items, common sense tells us that the negative item /items is why our scores are low.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  If it is not in your score, and you dispute it, pay it, do anything to it, it will wake up the item (so to speak) and re-impact your scores in a negative way, and your scores will end up dropping even lower than before.

No two credit reports are the same, and this is why getting an evaluation is so important for anyone considering taking any kind of action on their credit report, whether you wish to handle the situation your self or hire Credit Plus to raise your credit scores.

The credit bureaus provide us with vast amounts of information that they claim will help you manage your credit, however, most of the information just gets your head spinning. But, let’s face it, who is the credit bureaus largest client?  The Creditors, and the creditors are the companies who extend credit to the public based on our credit scores.  The lower the bureaus can drive down your scores, the higher interest rates the creditors can charge the public, which means more money for the creditors. It’s not only interest rates anymore, its insurance rates and employment.  Take charge of your credit; don’t let your credit take charge of you.

This process is fairly simple if you handle it properly.  You don't need to pay a Credit Repair company to do this for you.  You just need simple advise.  Our Blog has great information or you can e-mail your question to char@yourcreditgoals.com
